Without any ado, here’s what an applicant should expect from a “top-notch” staff at Semalt. Long story short, I have recently applied for a Senior SEO Copywriter position and was compelled to deal mostly with Olga Pyrozhenko, who positions herself as a Head of Content Team at the aforesaid enterprise. After a preliminary evaluation of my proficiency in English over the phone, I was entrusted with a written assignment to test my ability to seamlessly integrate SEO keywords into the text. It took me two hours to cope with the task, thanks to my long-term experience working in the United States. Within an hour I got a phone call with a job offer. Imagine my surprise when the next day I got a feedback from an awkward little thing named Olga Pyrozhenko whose English was mainly sanded off at Kirovograd State Pedagogical University, as well as during her six-month career path as a flight attendant at Ukraine International Airlines. I was appalled by her outrageous ignorance and her feeble attempts to score points by correcting my work. I knew right away whom I was dealing with. I made a phone call and kindly asked a person in charge there to count me out. It’s up to you whether you want to waste your time working with people whose main professional tool is a complementary translation service Google Translate.
P.S. Was there any cooperation?.. Was there any first day?.. To the best of my recollection, I quit prior to having a pleasure of absorbing your moralizing concept relating to what a SEO commercial experience is. )))) Kirovograd. That sums it all up. ))))
Mr. Dmitry Labunsky, who identifies himself as Mitch, has nothing to do with professionalism, responsibility, and most importantly, human dignity. He showed himself off as a cocky person who cannot deal with constructive criticism.
Our mistake was to hire an employee who lacks commercial experience as a copywriter. Dmitry showed his ignorance and devil-may-care attitude from the first day of our cooperation - no respect to working hours, boorish behavior, and nasty tricks (like this comment and other blameworthy letters to our HR staff).
Mr. Dmitry, we did not evaluate your English proficiency over the phone. You did several writing tasks for us that showed you have above-average knowledge and skills. On top of that, English fluency is not enough to be a good SEO writer. You ought to know that. Our content specialist's recommendations (not even corrections) were aimed to help you stick to our requirements. Nobody wanted to score points on you. And even assuming that you might misunderstand her words, does that excuse insulting a woman?
