DIRECTOR GENERAL
The Company is a Moscow-based microfinance, commercial, non-bank institution established as an LLC in 2010 as a retail microfinance business subsidiary to a Luxembourg.
The Company is a top 10 MFO (Microfinance Organization) in Russia and as such is registered in the State Register of Microfinance Organizations and subject to special regulations and controls by the Central Bank of Russia. The Company holds mA+ credit capacity rating with stable outlook from RusRating Agency.
The Company’s mission is to satisfy its customers’ needs of financial leverage, thus facilitating economic growth in Russia through the development of micro- and small businesses, while delivering to its sole stakeholder, “Mikro Fund”, a sustainably high return on invested funds, including loans.
The Company’s clients are Russian micro and small business, both legal entities and private entrepreneurs.
The Company is constantly growing its presence through the local branches network, currently covering 25 Russian cities.
POSITION TITLE: Director-General Nominee
SUBJECT TO ELECTION BY: Stakeholders’ Assembly
REPORTS TO: Board of Directors
REPORTING TO THIS POSITION: Deputy Director-Generals, HR Director, Chief Accountant, heads of local branches etc.
OFFICE HOURS: Full-time. 5 working days per week, Monday to Friday, 9.30 AM - 6.30 PM, with 1 hour lunch break.
Job Summary
The Director-General serves as a Sole Executive Body of the Company responsible for the success of the day-to-day activities of the Company. S/he is based in the Moscow office of the Company.
Under the guidance of the Board the Director-General contributes to determine Company’s strategy; assures the accomplishment of the Company’s mission, vision and business plan; plans, manages and controls its activities; provides accountability to the Board and to the sole stakeholder.
The Director-General is in charge of monitoring, control and implementation of the decisions of the Board and of the sole stakeholder.
To fulfill her/his mission the Director-General has the authority:
- to decide and issue operational internal instructions;
- to enter into contracts and other transactions in the ordinary course of business of the Company;
- to issue powers of attorney for representation of the Company;
- to open bank accounts and dispose of the property and cash of the Company, including money in bank accounts;
- to hire and dismiss staff; promote and impose disciplinary sanctions on employees; define working and conditions and remuneration of employees;
- to elaborate internal regulations of the Company;
- to approve job descriptions of employees;
- to assure accountability and legal compliance.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
This is a high-stress position based on full responsibility of the incumbent for the Company’s operations results.
The Director-General is required:
- to be able to handle detailed, complex concepts and problems;
- to balance multiple tasks simultaneously;
- to make rapid decisions regarding administrative issues;
- to plan and meet deadlines;
- to establish strong and appropriate relationships with the Board and sole stakeholder, staff of Moscow and other Company’s offices, banks and auditors;
- to develop smooth and constructive relationships with the regulator (Central Bank), controlling bodies, Government agencies, local Authorities etc.;
- to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of the Board (hours may be long and irregular);
- to demonstrate commitment to continued professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Master degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or equivalent experience;
- a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role within the microfinance industry;
- solid understanding of the key issues in microfinance, existing presence and relationships with key stakeholders inside the industry in Russia;
- superb relationship management abilities, especially with executive level staff;
- strong communications skills, ability to develop targeted and effective messages, public speaking and presentation skills;
- excellent project/campaign management skills;
- flexible work attitude, willingness to meet unexpected demands, and ability to manage a multi-faceted workload under strict deadlines;
- demonstrated effectiveness in organizational development;
- ability to supervise teams and networks of staff and consultants in different locations.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Full proficiency in Russian and English is a must, working knowledge of French and/or Italian is a plus.
JOB CONTRACT: According to applicable law.
CONTRACT DURATION, REMUNERATION, SOCIAL PACKAGE, REIMBURSMENTS: Subject to private negotiation.
